Celebratory screenings for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing

LIP and the University of Coimbra’s Astronomy and Geophysics Observatory, along with the organizing team of the Festival Internacional de Cinema da Figueira da Foz – Film Art, dedicate 3 film screenings to the 50th anniversary of the arrival of Man on the moon. These will take place on the 13th and 14th of september in the Centro de Artes e Espetáculos of Figueira da Foz. The schedule of these sessions is organized in the following manner:

• Friday, September 13th:
  17:30 – “Apollo 13” and a conversation at the end of the screening with Miguel Gonçalves, astronomer who appears on RTP’s morning show and member of the Planetary Society;
• Saturday, September 14th:
  15h30 – “The right stuff”;
  17h30 – “First man” and a conversation at the start of the session with Prof. Carlos Fiolhais.

Tickets are 3€ for one session and 5€ for the 3 sessions. 20 tickets will be offered to the first 20 people who ask them through the e-mail address: escola.astronautas@lip.pt
